Creative Rock Storm, Rocking Til The End

I've learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom how great is that? – Soledad O'Brien

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this opportunity to write and share my thoughts. I am sitting hear fighting against feelings of depression and anxiety, because the limited personal resources I have are being stretched so thin. My strength is failing. There seems to be so many things demanding my time, my emotional, physical, and cognitive resources at this moment. I also feel so sensitive to the pain of others in the world and there is such much pain/hate in the world. All of the things in some ways feels very crushing to me, and things feel out of control in my life.  I’ve gotten to the point where the life that I chose, use to enjoy, feel blessed to have, feels so overwhelming and depleting. I always dreamed of getting a PhD and becoming a psychologist, but I did not understand the journey this dream would take me on. I give all of this to you Lord, because you are my savior and I am in desperate need of being saved.

Thank you for giving me such wonderful friends and a great support system. Thank you for always being near to me and holding my heart in your hands. Thank you for giving me the ability to process all of this and for letting me make it this far into my PhD program. Thank you for your unconditional love for all of your children; for creating us and seeing us not just where we are but also where we are going. Thank you for seeing us not by our past failures but by all of the wonderful things you have created in us. Thank you for saving us when we are lost, healing us when we are broken, and taking bad situations and using even those to the good of those who love you. Thank you for letting your love be every present, every shining in the world.

Thank you for being my hope

In the name of Jesus I pray

Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have.
